duration: 1 h 19 min (shortest freaking movie i've watched in a long time)

i caught this movie with my mom and sis last night. the animation was really fantastically realistic, but i felt 9 would probably appeal more to the geeks who like building models or machines? the story-line is really over-hyped. imho, it was a 15 min storyline stretched to an hour. i cant imagine why tim burton directed such a movie!! :O

literally 9 palm-sized sack cloth creatures fighting this machine that creates evil robots. they wield surgical scapels against soul-sucking machines! kinda ridiculous how the scapel is sharp enough to cut thru steel.. i would like one like that next time when im a surgeon :)

9 was set post-apocalypse! so no human beings/life around. the setting was really well designed but i think too much effort went into the minute little details w/o thinking of the storyline..

and the ending was damn CRAPPY. everyone in the cinema agreed.. there were "what?!" "thats it?" "stupid show" chorusing the cinema. tsk. elijah wood im surprised how much you have fallen since eternal sunshine and LOTR! :O

2/5 - 1 for design and 1 for story. (and im being kind)
lucky for the moviemakers, my mom paid for the movie, so i wasnt "cheated" of my money. if not, it'll have to be a 1/5.
